About The Event
50 YEARS AGO SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL HAPPENED AT ZION
After the fall of Vietnam, a refugee family left their homeland for the United States. What followed changed lives and gave clarity to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that couldn’t have been foreseen by the refugees or their hosts at Zion. Their story – and ours – began in the mid-1970s when Rev. Roy Almquist was our pastor. Now, 50 years later, six of the seven members of the Khieu family are returning to our church to thank us and mark this significant celebration. Each of the Khieus has become a successful and contributing member of their respective communities across the United States.
